2019 Training Institute FAQs
Hotel Info: This information is not posted for security reasons. Once you register for the training, you will be given the hotel location, code, etc. If you need it prior to registration, please contact Ramona directly at: email@example.com Each attendee is responsible for making their own hotel reservations, accommodations are not included in the price of the training.
Transportation from airport to hotel: Guests may set up airport shuttles by calling 877-871-6772. Please have flight information and a cell number ready for reservation. Although the resort is a short 10 minute drive from the airport it is recommended to pre-set up the shuttle to ensure quick pick up and arrival at the resort.
Parking: On site parking, including valet, is complimentary.

Dress Code: We do not require you wear your uniform or business attire. We do request that you wear something that your agency would find acceptable to wear to a training. Please no swimwear or pajamas. We will not be having a formal banquet.
Meals: No meals are included in the conference. There will be snacks provided mid-morning and mid-afternoon.
Agenda: The agenda will be handed out at registration check in. Once a basic agenda is available, we can send it out as requested, and may post it in the member’s area of the web site.
Training Credit: Each attendee is responsible for gaining credit for attendance through their agency. IOMGIA does not complete this. We do send you a Training Completion Certificate and a Member Certificate upon completion of the Training Institute.
Patch / Coin Exchange: We will be doing another Patch Wall this year. Please bring a patch to donate. We will be raffling this off at the end of the Training Institute for a limited number of tickets. Bring extras if you like to trade. You can do this during the Networking events. We will also be doing a ‘coin bucket’ this year. Bring a unit or agency coin to drop in the bucket – also to be raffled off at the end of the Training for a limited number of tickets.
Spouse activities: Once activities are planned, an agenda will be sent out to people who are bringing a guest.
Sunday Class: Intro class will likely begin at 1600 hrs on Sunday. Once the time is set, a notice will be sent out.
Tentative Hospitality/Networking Events:
- Each evening we will have an opportunity for you to network with other members. Please take this opportunity to expand your business acquaintances and make new friends.
- Hospitality will be every evening – Sunday through Thursday. Please come and network.
Motorcycle Ride: We are working on making arrangements for a ride for anyone that might be interested. This will be outside of the training dates, and will not interfere with training. Participation is not required – we will have contact and additional information once it is available.
